There is chicken and then there is chicken

I now have a freezer full of chicken carcases.... seriously. I won't show pictures of that... how gross! It took me all evening to package away two large boxes of chicken carcases. Thank goodness this time I did not run across any chicken heads. It may be one thing to pick up and package chicken pieces but a whole other thing when it comes to the actual head. Last time, I threw it, Caillee grabbed it and ate it... didn't seem like any big deal to her..

Gee and I wonder why I refer to her as the cookie monster....

Is there anything more pitiful...than a dog with an Elizabethan collar?!

Marj's Havanese Ricky had a neuter surgery recently.

'We had to get an Elizabethan collar for Ricky on Saturday when we saw he was licking way and making the site of the surgery red. We don't have it on him 24/7 . I like to remove it for some good play time where he can run a lot and get his exercise. I put it back on once he slows down and start licking up again. NOT easy with all that hair to fit the collar around him! lol

He tends to be a little mopey with the collar on. We're talking about human feelings in dogs. Ricky is sure showing us that a dog can be sad and miserable!

Monday's Happenings

Yesterday was pet therapy night; Josie had a ‘spoiled’ T-shirt for visiting. Staff and patients seem to really enjoy her costumes. I am running out of costume ideas. I have lots of costumes for Christmas and some for Halloween but not that many for the rest of the year. There is only so many times you can make Josie wear a clown costume or cute t-shirts that are best warn in spring

Caillee received her American championship certificate in the mail today. I did the mistake of acting slightly more excited about her certificate than my husband Graphic Communication certificate with honours no less! Oops.

Photos and Video on Josie Actually Peeling my Banana

I already had posted the video of Josie peeling a banana but it never really showed her peeling it, just eating it. I have finally posted the pictures to prove it!

For those who did see the previous post about this, what had happen was that I was relaxing in bed and my husband brought me a banana. I put the banana down for a moment so I could continue typing on my laptop. Josie was on the bed with me and took the banana. I was about to take it away from her since I wanted to eat it soon. I realized that she was peeling it, I swear it! I went quickly to find my camera.

Here is Josie, she already peeled one side off already by the time I found the camera.

If you listen closely you can actaully hear Josie smack her lips! Hahahaha Talk about priceless moments.

Caillee wants to go now!

This is Caillee wanting very badly to leave with us as we all prepare to go back home. I had set the Sherpra bag up high so she would not spend time in there before we leave. We were planing to take a hour and a half car ride and then a two and half plane ride back to Winnipeg.

Actually she runs into that crate everytime I have it out so I have to hide it. Both dogs will fight to get in as if that is to say who will accompany me on my way out the door. Dogs! My Pretty In Pink Dogs!

Glamour and Spa Treatment Today

Josie and Caillee will both be getting wonderful spa treatments today. They will get their hair and nails done. They will get to enjoy relaxing moments in the bath with the gentle scents of peppermint in the air, and listening to calming music in the back ground. Perhaps some coffee or tea during this to break up the soothing atmosphere.

Who are you kidding? You are going to brush and bath us, and run around the house with a towel trying to catch the next victim. Josie.

I get brushed, bathed, and blow dried... seriously it doesn't sound as nice as you make it out to be. Caillee

House Cleaning sucks...

House cleaning, paying bills, and doing laundry simply sucks when there are two beautiful dogs who would rather be playing!

Josie and Caillee's friend Bailey from Pennsylvania just got brushed by his mommy and doesn't he look smashing! Who's the picky eater?

My Bolognese is a picky eater. My Havanese on the other hand is a complete different story. Though I have documents, pedigrees, and championships to prove that she is a pure breed Havanese I suspect she may be part lab, perhaps only her tummy. She will eat everything at anytime and anywhere; her bowl and everyone else's bowls if they dared to walk away from it. People, don't put your plates on the floor, not even for a minute, she will take that too. She truly is the cookie monster!

Tobogganing

What great fun we had today tobogganing down the hills at our local park. There was plenty of snow out, sun shinny brightly, and the temperature was only six below zero. Everything about this day said it was the perfect time to have a bit of fun out doors.

This was not Josie’s first time and you could tell; she looked like quit the pro patiently sitting on my husband lap as he pushed himself and Josie for a bit of momentum down the hill. There was no need to hold her down, she was ready.

It was Caillee’s first time going tobogganing and see seemed to really enjoy herself coming along for the ride. So Caillee was getting the hang of things after a while. I would sit down on the toboggan and Caillee looked as though she was trying to figure out how to get in as well. That seemed to please me; I think she likes it!

Winnipeg is too cold!

It is -29 degrees celsius and feel like -44 degrees celsius with the wind chill. It is not fun for humans or dogs taking walks in this weather. Nice, warm, cozy house is where these girls stay.

Deer Ribs Makes Happy Girls

A friend of mine went hunting, I am not sure what all he shot down and killed but he kindly offered his leftovers; so I have box of deer ribs outside. Now my friend is one of those manly-man-hunter dudes and he was all impressed that my little pretty dogs clean up everything: meat and bones. Yeah, they may be small, they may be pretty, may be wear pretty pink bows; but they are still dogs and they loved the ribs! Sorry no photos and why would you really want to watch them eat that, it is kind of gross to look at.

I am pleased to announce the championship of my Caillee. She is now an American & Canadian Champion.

CAN. AM. CH. MystykalSky’s Cailleach Bheur. By Ch. Twins Hycrest Ever Reddi and out of MystykalSky Pheobelus Twins. Breeder Nathalie Tremblay of MystykalSky Kennel Registered.

She received her last points needed at the Land O’Lakes Kennel Club in St Paul MN this past weekend. What makes all this so very exciting is that she received 3 five-point-majors in only four American shows.

Her future plans hopefully include a future breeding or two and hopefully all her testing goes well; more obedience training at home; start an obedience class; and hopefully one real obedience trial this year for practice. In her spare time she may be curled up with me while we watch TV together or enjoying leisurely walk through the neighbourhood parks.

Caillee is an American & Canadian Champion

Caillee has a new title today, she is now named American Canadian Champion MystykalSky's Cailleach Bheur; AM. CAN. CH. MystykalSky's Cailleach Bheur. She managed to get three-five-point-majors in four days of shows. The most point a non-championed dog can receive in any one day of showing is five points which is referred to as a five-point-major. The received three of them in four days which more than qualifiers her for her American championship.

Now the question is which one comes first? American or Canadian? Is if order of what was received first, alphabetical order, order of preference, or ordered based on place of birth?
