Hyacinth Visits some friends in Niagara

Hyacinth visits our friend Andrea and her mom in Niagara. She got to meet their cat too.
Hyacinth also got to meet other friends and other cats. Poor Hyacinth, I think she wanted to play with them but they didn't want to play with Hyacinth. Boots and Bonkers (Trevor and Shelley's cats) didn't take the whole experience of a dog in THEIR house nicely. Lots of hissing involved.

Hyacinth visits a Clare's Harley-Davidson of Niagara

Hyacinth took a visit to Clare's Harley-Davidson of Niagara shop which used to be the location of my hubby's old work (CMC Distribution) when we lived in Ontario which is now a Harley-Davidson shop.

Here is Hyacinth, in my doggie-purse beside the Canadian Edition of a Harley-Davidson. Its a bit blury but you get the idea.

Here is a photo of a bunch of bike for all those Harley-Davidson fans. There were tons and tons of bikes there and Harley-Davidson accessories and clothing. Unbelievable really.

Hamilton Cab Response to my Complaint

Hamilton Cab's response to my complaint was prompt.

"Hello,

I am very sorry for our driver's actions. There are some drivers in our company who do not pick up dogs because of medical reasons, some are allergic to pets. Majority of drivers do pick up customers with dogs.

Hamilton Cab is a pet friendly company.

Thanks for informing us and we will discuss your situation with our driver # 280

Jagtar Singh Chahal
Chairman & CEO
Hamilton Cab"

Cab driver #280 didn't say it was for "medical reasons", he was just plain rude to us about it. Tisk, tisk.

Secret Lives of Pretty In Pink Dogs

We have arrived in Ontario!

Hyacinth and I (oh, and hubby too) left very early this morning to catch a flight from Winnipeg to Hamilton. We walked around the airport grounds; Hyacinth ran around a nice grassy area before boarding the flight.

It was a two hour flight with a bit of turbulence at the start and near the end of the flight. Hyacinth was so quite and was a great little traveller! I was very impressed.

After arriving at the Hamilton airport, we went to get a cab. Get this, Hyacinth and I were refused fair from a "Hamilton Cab" (http://www.hamiltoncab.com/) cab driver because Hyacinth is a dog. A small dog travelling in her own small kennel. The other cab driver and I were not impressed by this cab drivers' action.

The Enterprise Rent a Car in Hamilton had no problems with us renting a car with a dog. They were also very helpful and freindly. So go figure.

Before heading over to mom's house we all checked in to our Hotel room, grab a quick bit to eat, and a bit of a rest
