Tina shall from this day forth be known as Mim

What exciting news. Last week I confirmed the placement of Tina. She will now forever be called Mim. I do believe the perfect home has been found for her.

She will have new Havanese siblings, Mercedes and Meko. Her new doggie position will be 'master cuddlier'. She will spend most of her day cuddling, smooching kisses, and taking long leisurely naps with her new mommy.

I am pretty excited about his match. I do believe it is a perfect match between her new family and Mim. I do believe things will work out for her. Sorry I can not say any more. Mim new mommy wants to make this grand annoucement to friends and club members very soon.

Long awaited update....

It has been nuts for the past two weeks or so. The puppies are growing like weeds. They celebrated their 9th week last Thursday. They had their vet check last weekend. The puppies received their vaccine shots and got the thumbs up from my veterinarian. My veterinarian agreed with me that it was best to hold off on microchipping them until the last possible moment and that one of his techs could help me out with that. That all made me feel better.

I have the funniest video of Goldie climbing the expen and escaping. She has a real knack for escaping. So far, depending on the expen setup, ‘Goldie’ can escape by climbing or squeezing through the expen; escape under the fence in the back yard; and pretty much from most enclosures I have ever made to contain the puppies together. I must post that video soon.

Happy Thanksgiving Canada!

Happy Thanksgiving Canada! Any holiday requiring a thurkey has got to be the best holidays in the whole world. Mommy gave me half of a turkey neck. Apparently they leave turkey pieces inside the turkey just in case people wanted them. Well, my mommy just gives it to us. "Want not, waste not", I hear poeple say that sometimes. I only can have half because I have to share it with Josie, like she is going to eat it. Mommy, I'll eat it! Well at least mommy says that I don't have to share it with my puppies. She say that she will give them something else that they might be able to handle. I say, just give the other half to my puppies, if they don't eat it after a certain period of time and while you're not looking I could eat it. Clean it up really. The offer is still on the table.

I can't waite until the turkey is done. Maybe I could convince daddy to give me some cooked turkey just like Josie does sometimes. Mommy doesn't know so no one tell her. Josie doesn't think I know but I do. My little secret.

'Junior' went up the stairs all by herself this morning

I couldn't believe it. All by herself too. She went up the stair this morning all by herself. I was teaching her how to climb stairs yesterday and I might have been helping her out on very step and used Caillee as a goal at the top of the stairs. BUT today.... Caillee again was at the top of the stairs but I didn't ask anything of her this morning, yesterday I asked her to down and stay at the top of the stairs. I was ready to catch 'Junior' as she tried her way up the stairs. Once she got the hang of things, we was booting up the stairs and I was having trouble acting as her safety net. I simply must find my camera so I can capture a video of this.

The Puppy Girls are Exhausted

The puppy girls are exhausted from their long play date in the kitchen with me as I cooked dinner today: food in the oven and puppies all over the floor. It was amusing watching Caillee play with her puppies. I found it even funnier when Caillee was walking away from the puppies and all the puppies ran behind her trying to keep up with her: all alert and tails wagging. I loved getting ‘Tina’ to chase me, rubbing ‘Juniors’’ belly, and blowing puppy kisses at ‘Goldie’.

‘Tina’ found that my lap area makes a great place to sleep but that she managed to get any before ‘Goldie’ thought the same thing and decided that she too needed to find the right spot in my lap. ‘Junior’ was far to busy exploring and getting Caillee to chase her around the kitchen. That ‘Junior’ girl better be careful with that tail of hers, she might just propel herself up, far and away. Every time I see her, she wiggles that tail so far that you can hardly tell there is even a tail there.

I also feed them a little while they were all in the kitchen. ‘Junior’ was not interested in the semi-mush I gave out but show extreme interest when I replaced the mush with hard kibbles that Caillee would eat and the puppies could play with or plain try out. Again, ‘Junior’ insists that she must show off how much of a big girl she is…. “Look at me, see I can chew the same food my mommy does” “My sisters only play with their food, look, see, I am eating it”.

Now all the puppies girls are fast asleep in their bed.

"What do you mean your fingers aren't for chewing?"

I tell you, this one is going to be a hand full! She so reminds me of my Josie. She will be someone diva-girl, there is no doubt in my mind. I am going to have to find a family with children and/or someone interested in doing canine sports of somesort with her. She will be wonder at it, I am sure. Can you imagine, one of my puppy girls in a sports ring somewhere. I can see it now, this little junior girl running like the wind doing agility with someone. Ahah, my heart melts. I love girls with attitudes! This one has personality!
