They are starting to open their eyes

I posted the newest video just this morning about them being two weeks old today.  Just moments ago I noticed that ‘Caillee Jr’ one eye opened up, just a slight slit and then a minute later she slightly opened her other eye. Just the slightest slits, yet those slight slits revealed deep dark eyes.

I checked the others.  “Tina’ also is opening her eyes.  She has but one slightest slit in on eye.  I waited a long time and the other eye didn’t open, the other eye must not be ready yet.  ‘Goldie’ is all together not ready.  

 

This is all very exciting.  Caillee’s puppies are starting to hear and see.

 

Caillee Puppies now two weeks old

My Caillee's puppies are two weeks old today. All are doing great... all growing... all gaining weight.

'Caillee Jr.' is over a pound now. 'Goldie Locks' is catching up. 'Tina' is no longer tiny and is looking amazing. Their eyes having open just yet that I have notice but it's going to be any moment now. I think 'Goldie' can hear already. Nobody is walking yet. We have some tails in the air.

It's really neat seeing 'Caillee Jr' using her tail for balance.

Day 13!

The puppies’ ears are noticeably unsealing themselves. I could have sworn that Goldie Locks reacted to a sound the other day. Weight-wise she is catching up to Caillee Jr. Her black noise has filled in. She also is the noisiest one of the litter, the littlest sequel now and again.

Caillee Jr is almost a whole pound already, give her some time, I am sure she will be a whole pound by the end of the day. All her white marking are really noticeable and brilliant. She is also very active and curious, always checking out her surroundings.

Tiny Tina loves to lie on her back. She is also growing like a little weed these days. She seems to love to cuddle with me.

CDN/AM Ch. A Maiden Effort's Heartbreaker

He is the puppies' daddy (sire). Isn't he a beauty? He is an import from the Netherland and his breeder is Anja Van Haarlem. His owners are Cheryl and David Drake from Ontario Canada.

Look at that nose, such nice pigment and all the puppies' pigments are coming in so nice. "Goldie Lock's' nose is nearly all black now. The other girls, black as night.

The puppies are one week old today

What exciting milestone, the puppies are one week old today. Everyone is doing fine and everyone is growing.

Caillee leaves them more often now. Skin is peeling around their ears so they will start earring soon. I noticed skin has peeled from their paws leaving what looks more like paws then it did before.

It is hard to imagine right now but they will hear and see things soon.

I think I would like to give Caillee another bath sometime soon and do it better than the super fast rush job I did last time.

I had another little nap this afternoon. Thank goodness for all those little naps; I don't know how I'd be without them.

Watch out for the cat.....

Great, now it seems as though I now need to watch out for the cat. He finally discovered that there are puppy's in the house. He was on the bed looking over at them.

What is going through that cat's mind! He better not dare should my back be turned. I can't waite until the puppies are much bigger and can give my husband's cat a bit of a headache...hahaha.

Today the puppies are six days old

Today the puppies are six days old and I am finally getting some sleep at night.

I always refer to 'Caillee Jr', the black puppy with the white chin and one white toe, as the litter piggy but looking over the daily weights I would have to think twice about that. 'Goldie Locks' is closer than the others in doubling her birth weight and today no less.

I asked my husband on his way out to work today to come back home with some baby nail clippers. Thier litter nails are getting long and sharp!

I have noticed a lot more hair around the back of the ears today and it almost seams like skin is pealing away from their ears. I do think they are preparing to do some hearing next week.


I think I am going to go take a nap now.

I think this day we actually took more videos than pictures but I will have see what we have and see if I can put it altogether in a nice video package.

Caillee again was doing well during her first full day of motherhood.

That day we all went to the vet office and the puppies traveled in a warming box I learnt to make from one of Myra Savant-Harris seminars. I am so glad I had gone to her seminar it really did help a newbee like me. I still didn't know how to tube feed, it is one thing to learn how at a seminar, reading it, and seeing it on a video than to actually do it for real. I haven't done it agian for a while but I still shake thinking about. Always remember that if you can hear them cry you are going down the correct tube - those words of advice did help me.

More Puppy Updates

Puppies are growing big and strong. All are doing well and mommy is happy.


"Tiny Tina" Started weighing - 72g, today she is 89g. There is a notice-able difference in her. This is very encouraging.



"Caillee Jr" Started @ 143g, today she is 165g.



"Goldie Locks Started @ 112g, today she is 137g.

Puppy updates

As of 12pm today, the puppies will be 48 hours old. Mom and puppies are fine. Juanita is paying extra special care to the pre-mee, tube feeding it, administering extra nutrition and keeping her warm with Juanita's body heat. Caillee is a wonderful mother, protecting, feeding and cleaning her pups. Still no official names but there are nick names, so when taking progress notes, she can tell which one she is talking about.

Caillee is a MOMMY

Today at approximately 11am, Caillee delivered her puppies into this world. Three females came into Juanita and her friend Susanne presence. Two were black, one is a brown, two are healthy and one black puppy is pre-mature. Please pray for this tiny puppy. Other than this hic-up, mom and the puppies are doing fine. No names have been given yet. Although when I came home @ 4pm, I was able to snap a few pictures and since Juanita is busy caring for the new Family I am placing this post.
