The Hunt for a Stud is On!

I am in the process of finding a stud dog for Caillee, my Havanese. I have been doing some phoning around and a friend of mind sent me some information from a really good informative website which I have forgotten the name.... I am sure I will eventually remember it long after I have submitted this blog.

I am hoping to do a planned breeding this spring/summer.

I even had her appointment made months ago to have more test done for OFFA like Hips Dyslasia, Elbow Dysplasia, and hopefully Legg-Calve-Perthes if they can fit that on the xray.

Caillee already has a lot of health test done already which can be viewed at the OFFA website.

I am pretty excited about the whole thing and a bit scared too... it will be my first time breeding and birds and fish don' t count. That reminds me, I would love to get a fish tank again some day....

All this recalls just after I switched back to kibbles....

What a large list of recalls, mostly canned cat food from certained brands. I think there was some canned dog food as well but not many.

I over heard a pet store sales clerk talking to someone on the phone how no one is buying anything canned, kibble, or treats from those recalled brands. She was namely talking about Iams and Eukanuba, what looked like the two major brands they sell.

For more specific information what what specific products were recalled, it would be best to visit Menu food's website.

Someone actually took the trouble to make a list and contact all sorts of manufactures to asked them about their products and the food recall, we could all take advantage of their hard work. It was found on http://petsitusa.com/blog/?p=210.

I have my dogs on Proplan for adult dogs right now and I would love to know more about Orijen, even on petsitusa.com Orijen came off smelling like roses. Does anyone have any experience with their dogs on Orijen?

Pledge Champain has begun

Our pledge campaign has begun, Caillee and I that is. I sent out tons of e-mails so far and tons more still to do. I change the goal amount from $125 to $200, I am sure that can be done.

Have you given your Havanese a raspberry today?

I hold my breath, open my mouth wide, lean into Caillee.... and blow.... giving her the biggest respberry possible. She squirms, she rolls, she runs away....

She comes back and I hold my breath.......

Fame Is A Bitch!

Ok, this is funny. Doggie nudy pictures! I laught so hard at that point.

Bolognese puppies at play

First of all, the Bolognese puppies are as cute as a button, each one of them. Then to see them all playing with a musical phone is priceless. All checking out the phone all at once.

Look at their black noses and paws, they seem to have great pigment. What beautiful puppies.

Josie Getting in Trouble

Hello, this is Kevin.
Today is Day 4 of Juanita being away in Calgary. Sunday Afternoon.
Anyway, I just thought I should let everyone know that Josie ate all the toothpaste.
I was watching TV in front of my computer and I assumed she was chewing on a bone like a good girl but when I got up to go to the kitchen I realized I was wrong. Here Josie is chomping away on the doggie toothpast tube.
Crap, what do I do now.
Well I cleaned up the "left overs" and thought I need to put this in the Blog. This is a frustrating yet funny situation.
Sorry to Juanita for leaving the toothpaste within reach, and now I just hope Josie won't get sick.

KBella's Baby Barrymore and the Moving Blanket

Aren't these the cutiest Bolognese puppies! Perhaps the cuties puppies ever. A friend of mine had a planned litter a few weeks ago and there are a few of the puppies playing with a blanket. Far too cute!

Mom's missing: Day Two

"I want my MOMMY" - Caillee

Hey again everyone,

Josie here. Caillee and I are still waiting for mom to come home from work. Kevin tells us she'll be back next week. Man that is a long time. I don't know if he can keep up with us.
Kevin told me and Caillee that he received some bad news today at work. He found out that a former co-worker (Greg - the man in the wheel chair) of his: died Feb. 28th. He mentioned that I met him once or twice. Apparently Greg lives down the street and I walked over with Kevin to visit once. When I was at Greg's house I was able to shake my booty and get his attention. I think he liked me, seemed to enjoy my visit and gave me a scratch behind my ears (Oh, did I like that!). Kevin has no details of how it happened but his wife called Murray the supervisor to let the company know. This post is dedicated to the memory of this good man.
Kevin last saw him back in December and got his picture taken with him. Here it is.

Anyway sorry to bring up this bad news, but I figured He deserves more than just this posting. He deserves to be remebered as a survivor: living in a wheel chair for over 20 years.

Peace and love to all.

Josie

Mom's Gone: Day One

Hey Everyone,
I am still waiting for mom to come home, boy she is working late tonight.
Kevin came home early today (11am). He told me and Caillee that the power went out at his work for over two hours, apparently there was a fire on a hydro pole near his work on Chevrier Boulevard and they were working on restoring power all day.
[Here is a link to the News story : http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/breakingnews/story/3896876p-4506773c.html.]
He also told us that on his way to work he walked (for an hour) all the way because of a watermain break, he told us he walked though the "miniature lake" and got his feet all wet. What a baby? So he got a little wet. Boo whoo. (Oh did I say that out loud ... I hope Kevin didn't hear me say that.)
Anyway, so far Kevin is doing everything that mom asked him to do while she is gone.
Caillee says "Mom is coming back right? Wait she's gone, where? when? she's not working late tonight ... mom ... I miss you ... come home, please."
I say, "Everything is OK, since I am Daddy's girl, I am going to get my way all week. Kevin is a sucker for these puppy dog eyes."
Anyway, that is enough for today, stay tuned for more.
Josie (since Caillee can't type yet, I am 41/2 years and she is only 1 1/2)
