My hubby went out to photograph in the woods again this weekend and tried to pass this Dog you see before you as Josie. Even got the tatoo just right. She even comes when I call 'Josie' but this dog can't be her.

Ok, so my hubby didn't loose Josie again. She just got a massive hair cut - she looks like a complete different dog.

Chocolate disaster last night....

Thank goodness I still keep Caillee in her crate, the pony sized crate, doggie apartment...... Josie got into chocolate last night. As everyone knows, if you don't you do now, chocolate is toxic to dogs and could kill them with too much ingested.

I was rather frustrated last night, I wanted to look up what to do if your dog ingests chocolate and besides the words 'call your veterinarian'. At 9 o'clock at night, you don't want to be rushing to the emergency veterinarian hospital if you don't have to. I can count the number of times I read 'time is of the essences'.... I know that, that's why I am pounding my keyboards surfing for info. I was extra fustrated when an article talked about these are things I should know before it happens and that I need to be prudent to prevent my dog ingesting chocolates. Well it happen, now what! I wanted to know what the signs to watch out for and what are the signs that signal to me that I need to call the vet now.

Guess where I found 'just the skinny' of what I needed to know to at least stop the panic. A Bichon Frise website, (us bichons need to stick together) just enough info so I can at least ask a little more intelligent questions on the phone.

After talking to soemone from the emergency veterinarian hospital, aparently I can relax, she will be find and try better to keep her away from the chocolates.

My hubby felt so bad that he left the chocolates (in its box) out on the night stand, I saw it there when we left to go out that night and I didn't think anything of it. We both should know better, not even the kitchen counter is a safe area for the dogs. That's another story I could tell you someday.

Josie seems to be doing fine this morning. I will check up on again when I get back home from work... its times like this I want to isntall a webcam so I can check up on them while I am away.... I should look into this someday.

You know what really bugs me about the day Josie was lost.....

You know what really bugs me about Josie being lost that one day?  She was happy.  I rushed over as soon as I got the call from the local humane society that she was found and safe and to pick her up. Just before I rang the door bell,  peered in the window beside the door and I could see Josie; she wasn't sad or sulking.  She seemed content.  I rang the door bell and was reunited with her, she was so extra happy to see me and to be in my arms, she was wiggling so much I could hardly hold her.  I did get a great reunion but a whimper or two in my absence wouldn't have hurt.

Josie went missing again last weekend - it was horrible!

We had quit the scared last weekend; Josie was lost for three terrible hours on Saturday. Josie went out with daddy to photo nature at a local park with lots of bushes and trees. I can just imagine what happen, Josie’s daddy let go of the leach only for a second, just so that the camera doesn’t shake while he tries to get that perfect shot. Well, you can imagine this yourself, a second quickly turns into two and then three and when he turned around to collect her again she went off exploring without him. I am sure photography might be a little boring for Josie.

He looked and looked, and then decided to come home to drop off his gear and ask me for some help. I wasn’t ready to leave the house so he went back with out me. I quickly got ready and took Caillee with me. I explored routes all the way to the park; looked closely at each car as they drove by; explored the whole park; called everywhere; asked every person Caillee and I meet at the park; and still no Josie to be found.

Caillee, hubby, and I were frozen so we went home without Josie. I had hubby call the local humane society and report Josie lost. I quickly made a lost dog poster with the information I had in her pet passport I made last year. While I was making the poster, I had hubby call some local vet offices too. Poster on a memory stick and ready for the printers but there was no need for that mass printing anymore. The local humane society called to say that a lady was holding on to our dog, and asked if we could pick her up as soon as possible.

No problem, we were there in a flash. I never held on to Josie so tight before. Josie is safely back at home and being a diva again.

Josie says that Photography is so boring....

Boring….

Boring….

Boring….

I am going to sniff over here…. Oh that smells wonderful…. That smells pretty good too.

Hmmm, I wonder where daddy went? Oh well, look at what’s over there.

“Hi there, I am so pleased to meet you”

“Ok, I’ll go with you. I love to meet know people you know”
