Caillee is all tired after a full day of baking for you and me.
A fun weekend with Daisy
Josie and I had a fun weekend with our friend Daisy, a Pug. Daisy belongs to Janelle, mom's friend from her work, who had a romantic getaway weekend with her husband. While she was gone, Daisy and I had a blast! We played fight, we ran, I shared some of my favourite toys, and we even got to play with my neighbour for a while just before Daisy had to go home, his name is Striker, a Nova Scotia Duck Troll Retriever.
I hope that Daisy can come back to play again some day soon,
Caillee.

About Woodstock

I do believe that Caillee and I had a great time at the Canadian National Havanese Specialty a couple of weekends ago in Woodstock Ontario. She even walked away with a third place ribbon for the 12-15 month old bitch Sweepstakes; I am not sure how that is worded.
Anyway, I think by the third day at Woodstock Caillee was started to feel herself. Caillee seemed either very tired or off all day on Friday. Both Caillee and I did have a very long day of traveling the day before: by air, miscommunication at the airport, then by unexpected rental car, and then had to change motels. By the time we settled down for the evening, it was nearly 4 or 5 pm and I think I even went to bed early that night.
So with Caillee being off and me being so very nervous, I am surprised we were not thrown out for looking so ridiculous in the ring. At the show was a CERF and BEAR clinics which I had pre-book appointments for Caillee. She passed her CERF and BEAR with flying colours. Tired or not, she’s healthy.
On the Saturday of that weekend, my husband brought his camera and his mother out to the dog show to watch Caillee and me in action. Caillee seemed a lot better but I was still very nervous. I now wonder if I getting so very nervous in the ring will ever go away.

Here is Caillee with my husband’s mother while we were in Ontario last week. Mom said that she had a wonderful time with us and our Caillee.
If you look closely you might be able to see little red bows in her hair.

We're back

We’re on our way back home (as I type this on the plane) from a very fun event at the Canadian National Havanese Specialty hosted by the Havanese Fanciers of Canada and the Oxford Kennel Club in Woodstock Ontario. It was actually a couple of weekends ago but we’re only getting back now because we also took out some time to visit friends and family in Ontario after the dog show.
Caillee made a bunch of new friends; and all my friends and family seemed to be quit taken by her. I mean look at her face, wouldn’t you? She did amazing well on the plane (both ways) and with all the long car travels.
My husband even drove me to Guelph Ontario so I could visit The Pet Supply House, a mostly catalog company, which also has a store front. I was a bit disappointed that the front didn’t have everything you would normally see in the catalog but the clerk was happy to go to the back and bring back items I was interested in but what to see it first before purchase. I bought some grooming equipment; the most expensive thing was the sheers which I was grateful I could try out first. Caillee even came along but her and my husband did seem a little bored by the time I was done.
Though our time seemed very short, I do hope we can come and visit again.

I found this photo on the Havanese Fanciers of Canada Website. I don't know who took the photo but that's us in the ring.
